Hi am in the process of stocking my 55g tank. and wanted to run my wish list of fish by everyone before I subject some to certain death.

Here is my current fish:
Pair of Gold striped Maroons
Bicolor Psuedochromis
Watchman Goby

Wish list:
leopard Wrasse
Harlequin tusk
Koran Angel
Yellow Box fish
Mandarin Goby

Thanks for the advice in advance

That koren might be a little to big for a 55 gallon. Im not really familiar with scientific names but is that a bicolor angel you already have? And make sure your tank is established before you add that mandarin. Otherwise everything should be ok.

I'd steer clear of the boxfish as its not a rapid mover and the rest of what you have can outrun it during feeding time. The Koran is going to be way to big for a 55 and deffinately not in a reef tank. The Tusk and Wrasse both get to be aroung the 6" mark and will feel cramped in a 55. I suggest some smaller species that won't get much more than 3 - 4 inches. Maybe a pygmy angel, a hawkfish, one of the smaller tangs, or cardinalfish. Theres many ways to go and some will work..some won't. I've gotten away with some crazy combos in my years. What I see in your tank right now are some rowdy characters. Not a bd thing..but you need to match what you'll put in in the future so the new guys don't take much abuse.
Just opinion..good luck with your 55
Fred

How mean is your maroon female? I have a pair of maroons in my 55 and that has been the issue for adding other fish...I need to make sure they can hold their own with her.

Maroons can grow to 4-some inches and are incredibly aggressive when mating. In my experience, 100 gallons gives Clarkii clowns enough room, but maroons are pushier.
I got rid of my clarkii's from my 100g because I was tired of being bitten (they have teeth) when trying to work in the tank. I swear if I ever have clowns again, I'll stick to pink skunks.

Foster-Smith, among our sponsors, has that good compatibility chart.

Always remember: reefsafe means it won't eat most of your corals. It says nothing about eating its tankmates.

Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny, royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%.
