Bad pods?

Ok- these little guys are getting a little annoying now.

They are a little larger then your tiny round copepod- but they have 5 legs that just flow around in the water. As best as I can tell- these pods dont move. I scrub them off the glass with the magnet and they float around in the water column until bumping into the glass again.

Any idea what these are and how to get rid of them? Do they hurt anything besides my view?

Baby Asterinas? If so, they're normally not a problem.

pics would really help. 5 legs sounds odd. Why are they annoying?

They look like Cladonema jellyfish to me from that pic.
Here is a link about them from melevsreef.

I havent seen them swim like that. When i brush them off the glass they just get blown around until they hit the glass again.

they dont seem to have a vertical shape up off the glass like they do in this video.

http://www.sfgate.com/mp/truveo/sear...ype=pets&term=

they seem to be flat with the arms coming out of the sides... maybe starfish- but I havent seen a picture yet that looks like these.

I had them in my 12 gal nano cube when i first set it up 4 years ago and they went away after a few months and I have never seen them again. They also did not swim around like that in my tank except only 1 or 2 out of 20 would seem to move on its own when I scraped them off the glass. Also from my experience with them they never bothered anything and seemed harmless.

I can't really remember the ones I had in my tank that well but the only ones I remember having a noticeable vertical shape were the ones that got bigger maybe 1 to 2 mm across. Most of the ones I had were very small probably less than 1 mm.
