test kit ????

Hi - hope this is a STUPID question but I will ask anyway...lol...can fresh water test kits work on reef tanks ? Ammonia , Nitrite , Nitrate ? Some of the ones I see on ebay say salt or fresh water and I have two brand new fresh water test kits so i thought I would ask.

I guess probably, but I would probably just buy the correct ones. Tests are to important to be getting false readings. One thing you could do is call the manufacturer and get a quick answer. I'd want to hear from them that it is the exact same thing before I used them.

some kits will work on both like ammonia iirc, and some will only work on one or the other because of the parameters, like pH which makes a pH (low) for FW and a pH (High) for SW
