How much tank can my lights handle?
Currently I have a standard 90g with 2x96w PCs and 2x250 mh ona Galaxy ballast in a 4 ft Coralife Pro fixture.
I feel I have the equipment to go to a 120g-150g. I was curious if I have enough light for that. I don't want a deep tank. I like short wide tanks. A 48x24x24, 48x30x24, perhaps a 60x24x24. Just curious if my lighting will be up to it. Thanks |

I would say yes to a 4' tank (nothing too deep) but i would not go more than 4 feet becasue coral at either end would not grow as quickly as whats under the light, because it would not get the same light intensity .each light fixture is made to maintain a 2'x2' section of ur tank . i would only do so if i absolutely had to. just my .02
