PVC Rock Structure Question
For my new tank, I'm wanting to use PVC and egg crate to help in my rock scapeing. I have never done this before, so I'm curious about how this is done.
When you use PVC for this, do you drill holes in the PVC to allow water to fill up the PVC, or just assemble the PVC before you put it in the tank and keep the water out of the inside of the pipe? |

i couldnt tell you about the pvc, i would think just to assemble it outside the tank and drill holes to let it sink, im going to be redoing my rock using clear acrylic rod, just by drilling a hole in the rock and running the rod into them to hold them up.

That's a thought. Thanks for the response!
I guess with drilling the holes into the PVC, I'm wondering what type of bacteria would gather in the tube(s)... Anyone else use PVC for rock structure support and have advice on whether to keep water out of the inside or not? |
