Will i get skimmate immediately after i add food to my tank?

when should i see my skimmer foaming after i add food? particularly mysis shrimp. immediately or a few minutes after adding?

no, the complete opposite actually. The oils from the mysis will crash the foam head inside the skimmer, essentually shutting it down for a couple hours

yup, any disturbance, like sticking your hand in, or feeding will mess up a quality skimmer for a period of time

i had rinsed the mysis with rodi before i put it in the tank. how do i get skimmate to occur then? i barely get any skimmate. i probably replace the cup i have once a week.

what kind of skimmer?

Whats your stock list?

how often and what else do you feed?

i have a euro reef rs line skimmer. I have 1 moorish idol and 5 flame wrasse and 2 clowns... tanks been up for about 3 yrs now... i feed mysis with cyclopeeze, garlic maybe 2-3 times a day.. but only enough for the fish to eat..
