small worm like fish

i saw these guys at the store and dont know what they are. they had there heads and part of there bodies out of the sand and looked like pipe fish ,size, mixed with an ell, look. my mom wants one for a nano tank thank you

garden eel? they burry themselves and only show a little bit of their body. kinda look like worms sticking out of the sand.

dont put that in a nano please. ive only ever seen them last long at the georgia aquarium. theyr in like a 400 gallon tank with like a 2 foot thick sand bed with experts taking care of them.

+1 on the veto for a nano. You'd basically have to fill it to the top with sand and then the sand bed might be deep enough.

Monterrey has a bunch of them, but I'm quite sure that they only survive in captivity under the kind of professional care a public aquarium can give.
