Mantis issues
So I've had live rock in my tank for almsot a week now and have already pulled out one 2.5" mantis shrimp. But there's still one in there that I can hear jackhammering away in the rock. The first mantis was easy, as he was in a non-load bearing rock and sitting pretty at the entrance to a hole nicely letting me know which rock he was in. I've only seen this second mantis once, he's about half the size of the first and was in a rock that would be very difficult to move. I haven't seen him since though, so I don't know if that rock is his home or if he was just out condo shopping.
Does anyone have any advice on catching this mantis without tearing down the tank? Will he survive the cycle if I leave him there? He's obviously suvived the perils of the rock harvest and shipping... |

DIY a bottle trap and put a piece of Krill in there, you should get it out easily
