Vortech MP10 Glass Thickness Question
I recently purchased a Vortech MP10 for my Solana 25g that I'm prepping to build. I know the Solana's glass thickness is 1/4", should I put the circular pad provided in the Vortech packaging between the motor and the glass?
The instructions say do it for any thickness less that 1/4", but I wanted to double check and see what everyone else is doing. -Dan |

Do you think it would be wise to re-post this question in the Nano forum?

Id say this is Reef Discussion! I would use the pad as it helps w/ heat, to prevent the glass from cracking under to much heat!

The magnet is really strong so I would use the pad. It does not hurt. It may even dampen any vibrations.

You should direct the question in the sponsors section under Ecotech Marine.
I think you'll be fine without the rubber stopper... but it doesn't hurt to put it on if you want to be safe.

Yes, you should use it.

Thanks everyone, I put the rubber pad on just in case and I'm ready to fire it up for the first time!
