Finally...Light Brown Algae!
So after seven weeks, there's finally some light, brown algea on the surface of two sections of LR. What's next? Levels are all great. Just keep on keeping on with tank maintenance or what. I still never did detect the tank cycle.

That would be the diatom algae. It will turn the whole tank brown, and then will start to die off.

Holy cow! We went out for a few hours and the stuff has really advanced. It got substantially darker. No change in surface area or coverage yet. Should be interesting to see where it goes.
Do I need to do anything for it in the mean time...like get some more crabs, shrimp, or snails?? |
