whats wrong with my pump

i got my new pump today its a quite one 9000, tested it out in the store and almost could not hear it, get home re plum the whole system and go to fire it up and its making a loud humming sound, i took it apart no rocks or anything inside, lift it off the bottom of the sump did not get any better and nothing i do seems to help any ideas??

Is it definitely the pump and not some part of your plumbing rattling against something?

do you have PVC or flexible tubing for plumbing....it just could be the reverberation (sp?) of the pump vibrating through the plumbing
