Denitrators

Can you please share the pros and cons of denitrators?
most important is do they really work?

I have a coil denitrator as well, and it definitely works. I know several people who use sulfur denitrators and they work well also.

Thanks for the replies. Do you have to feed the bacteria in those coil denitrators? any info on what and how often to feed for the bacteria will be appreciated.

+ removes nitrate

- they have the potential to put off toxic wastewater. Of course they should not do this if tuned properly but the potential is there.

they are in my experience high maintenance. it worked for a while but then I had to adjust the flow all the time. I am looking into vodka dosing now.

no you just have to let them cycle and once you get it fine tuned it will work fine with no maintenance the only time you have to adjust it is if you up your bio load. And i have never had one put off toxic water and i had been running them for like 4 years.
