Vortec MP40 Powerhead in a 75 Gallon.

Hey guys, i wanted to ask a question about the MP40, I just bought the upgrade kit and in my 75 gallon reef tank I currently have a ton of powerheads.. maybe to many.. the Mp20, Korellia 2 and 1, and a Maxijet 1200 not to mention my sump return.. i was hoping with a Mp40 I could take them all out, or at least 2 of them. Have any of you had luck keeping corals happy with just one MP40 in a 75 gallon tank?

I use a single mp40w in my 75 and it's plenty of flow. I use short pulse mode and get a 1 1/2" wave constant in my tank. Even the polyps on my montiporas wave back and forth. But i would love to add another one!

Its the upgrade from an Mp20 Kit, so Im not really sure. If I use one of these on a 75 should it be full speed or less.. and is there an optimal postion for it?

I have 3 in my 125G tank and they get to every point in the tank, including behind the rocks.
I have a mixed feef tank and the pumps are on the side glasses (2 on one side and 1 on the other).
I think that you need 2 pumps and it will give you the possibility to adjust each one of them to your favorite stream with the controllers.
Get rid of all other pumps to have a better view of the display tank with just 2 Vortech mp-40 pumps.
