Question Flea type bug.Id Help!!!!

Let me start by saying im new to sps(6 months)and im now just starting to read and learn how to keep them.
anyway, last night with the lights out i was checking things out with a flashlight and i noticed these little "flea type bug".they were a really lite in color and didnt look like they swim at all and are sbout 1/8"long.when the light hit them they would run and hide.Ive seen them around the base of some of my acros and by my agent orange acan.didnt see them anywhere else and none from what i could see werent on any corals.
tried to search but no luck since i dont even know what to look for.I do dip everything but havent finsh setting up my QT.
any help or suggestions would be nice.thanks

ps.also posted in the sps forum.

Sounds like you're seeing pods. Copepods or amphipods.

if copepods its nothing to worry about.
its a good thing if you dont like them get a mandrin and he will take care of them.

Just to add, don't get a mandarin until you're tank is mature enough to sustain the repopulation of these pods or you will starve the mandarin.

amphipods have an ability to self regulate, and they aren't harmful to anything in the tank.

You only can see copepods on the glass of your tank, if you see anything running around you rocks than it's amphipods. Copepods are simply too small to see if they are anywhere but on the glass.
