New Addition to the Tank

Slowly but surely my tank is coming along. And I'm quite pleased with how its looking
New addition:
Montipora Capricornis, my birthday present. Thanks to my boyfriend and my amazing LFS owners for the coral and the live rock.

After about an hour off perfectly placing two rocks to my liking (the white rocks on the left), I finally was able to put my montipora at the top of my tank. I am very very picky with my aquascape, and still the new rocks aren't quite to my exact liking, but they will have to do for now.

I took some other pictures of my beautiful brain coral and "mother" ricodria, mother because I always frag it.

Hope you all enjoy.
I would also like to see other montiporas, if anyone would like to show off there beautys.

The only thing i would say is that high direct flow on sps can sometimes cause trouble. Granted they need hight flow just be careful as the monty seems very close to that power head. Also what are you dosing?

Oh, the power head is not even on the montipora. I guess depth perception isn't good with the camera. That power head has very very low flow and is directed more towards the front of my tank, not even touching the corals, just making water flow. The powerhead on the right side on the other hand is quite powerful, which is somewhat directed to the montipora; I think it will give it great flow, no too much, no too little.
What am I dosing? Why do you ask? All I dose is Kalkwasser, Iodine, and Liquid Reactor. I do water changes once every two weeks. Should I be dosing something else?

I was just looking that this is you 1st piece of sps in the tank, kalkwasser is more than enough for what you have in there imo, as you know they have a high calcium demand. I think you could probably use a little more flow though, you should be aiming for about 30x your total volume turnover per hour or more if you keeping harder stuff.. have you worked out what your pushing?

Eh, no. I do have a question though. Does my montipora looking healthy? From that picture? I can't tell whether the ends look bleached or if that is just it growing.

I only go to Coral Reef Farm. They are the best, in my opinion, in South Florida.
