Eshopps PSK-100S Review w/pics
Unfortunately I exceeded the edit time limit in the respective vendor thread, to make any changes comcerning my new image host. So I will repost here instead
Hello Eshopps skimmer lovers! As promised I would post a review on this fabulous budget conscious skimmer. I received it from Premium Aquatics. The PSK-100 is a solid performer in its price and applications range. One of the little hitches is sometimes the ViaAqua meshwheel pump may stumble a bit when starting up, i guess due to the mesh impeller being a little imbalanced and, but don't let that scare you, it works! Anyhoot a review thread is of little value without pics, so lets getting rolling! Layout of the pieces ready for assembly. The holder for the water level control stems had broken in shipping but nothing a little weld-on couldn't fix My Sealife Systems 75 Venturi Skimmer being relieved of duty. PSK-100 Deployed for Break-in 8 hours after deployment in a medium bioload: Code NOG-a-licious Mmm foam and gunk...and it stinks! Once again I am impressed. Of course its not the kill all skimmer, there are better but for my 55 gallon, its worth every penny. Budget minded folks, don't hesitate to add this to your skimmer selection list. Kudos to E-shopps making a fine product!

Thanks man, I was contemplating getting an ss 125, but this had a simplistic design without the fancy bells and whistles, and it's paying off.

So I'm just getting back into the hobby after being out of it for a couple of years.. been getting equipment from a new 70g cube I bought and have been trying to choose a skimmer. Needless to say I've spent a good chunk of my 2 year old's college tuition on equipment.. A skimmer/light are the last two things I need. After reading most of this thread I think I'll order the PSK-150 today. The price is awesome, but I was very cautious of the quality BECAUSE of the price... Thanks for this thread!
