What does iodine do to corals and what kind of corals?
I've been curious who uses iodine and why.
What corals should get it and what shouldn't or harm them? |

As far as I know there aren't an conclusive reasons as to why we should or shouldn't. As such, I don't use it.

i know iodine makes pulsing zania well pulse and i dipped a toadstool leather in iodine once and it withered and died. that is the extent of my experience on iodine i know it is not much but hope it helps a little. as long as you do regular water changes with repitable salt then you should not even have to dose iodine.

I can see using it as a disinfectant dip, dosing is debateable. I have heard ppl say it helps xenia but I don't know if that is just a rumor.
