I was wondering if I could mix these two in a 50gallon tank. the yellow banana wrasses is established and I am planning on adding a christmas wrasse, any problems here?

Yeah both fish are ultimately too aggressive for that size tank. I think the minimum recommended tank size for thalassoma lutescens is 150 gallons, so adding another wrasse is asking for disaster.
