Randall's Pistol Shrimp

I am considering getting a Randall's pistol shrimp to try to pair it with a Hi Fin Red Banded Goby, but I have been reading that the shrimp may eventually try to eat other fish, shrimp, and snails. What have people's experiences with this shrimp been?

I am waiting on the same pair! I don't know about the Randall's pistol, but I have had a tiger and it hasn't bothered anything else. I did get one rogue pistol that actually ended up killing my watchman goby when it tired to pair. Makes it worth it to me to pay the premium to get a pair that has already gotten together.

You should be fine. Randall's pistols are much more friendly than other pistols and stay relativly small

I have one, still hiding as I just got him lat week, but he is about as big as this line: -------- (*length wise that is). They are pretty much too small to do any real damage.

Are you trying to pair him with a goby, or do you just want the shrimp solo?
