Clown beats up my BTA....
The bta has been in a crevice for a couple of months. I have a false perc hosting in it but it does not feed the anemone and it's wallering in it is just relentless! Could this be why the anemone has retreated? Perams are stable, I've had it about 7-8 months and it was fine until I added the perc. Had a Clarkii in it but it had gotten really big and was quite an aggressive tankmate! Any input appreciated!!!!

How big is the anemone and how big is the clown?
What are the actually numbers for your parameters? What lights do you have? I wouldn't count on the clown feeding the anemone. IMO, clown don't directly do that, when they bring food to an anemone is it more like a dog burying a bone -- they are just using it to store extra food, and aren't aware that the anemone will eat it.

I agree with Toddrtrex - my clown doesn't feed my GBTA - it actually tries to steal the Formula One that I feed it. Kind of obnoxious because I have to net off the anemone when feeding.
How long has the perc been in there? I had the same concern with agressive behavior at first, but it calmed down over time. A lot of putting the tenticles in it's mouth (perfectly normal so that the clown can create the proper coating on it's body) and thrashing about. It was stressful to the anemone initially, but just give it some time. |

This has been goiong on maybe 3 or 4 months. No nitrates, ammonia, etc. Light is 4 t5's on a 55 gallon. I got the feeding thing form the Clarkii...he always brought food. I guess what I'm asking is it possible that the clown is just wearing the bta out? He is about the size of a silver dollar and although with color has been in the same space for a couple of months. I tried turning the rock over...hoping he would re- emerge. Newb thing...please no flaming. Now I just don't know what to do next to help the situation. Any input truly appreciated !!!!!

So the BTA is about the size of a silver dollar? If that is correct, I have a feeling that is a big part of the issue.
