I have had decent luck with boiling some RO/DI water - then adding a little vinegar to it. Then sucking some of it up in to a syringe and injecting them. It helps to control them - but they always seem to come back. I end up having to do this about every 6-8 weeks.

BEST way? IMO is to just bake the rock
Never tried the above methods, but I heard they work. I always go surefire if and when possible

The only way I got rid of mine was pulling the rock and removing them. They seem to be easier to remove than aptasia.

+1 Also I've been having luck with a C. Falcula butterfly. However this was a desperation move and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is concerned about what else they might eat. By and large it hasn't eaten any sps in my system. KOW
In moderation a small hypodermic filled with butyric acid will finish off any stragglers.

I would also like to know. friend of mine has a several hundred of them in his tank. I have heard that a kliens butterfly will work.
I think his plan so far is going to be to take out the rock and hit it with a propane torch and melt them, then put the rock into another tank so no new ones move over to it |

+1 on all the above, superglue covers a multitude of sins. I had one majano. I scraped it off and "killed" it. Then I had two. Then three. Got out the superglue, poked them so they retracted into a hole, and smeared the hole with superglue. Spent the next 20 minutes peeling superglue from my finger, and dancing over the majano's grave. On a big tank with lots of majanos, I'd go with the filefish mentioned above, but watch your soft corals (clove polyps, xenia, anthelia) and your LPS as well (esp. euphyllias), as I've heard of this fish eating them. For xenia, that may be a very good thing
