Anyone have experience with sunburst anthias?

I was planning on getting 3 of these fish but then I read somewhere that they prefer to be kept singly rather than in groups, anyone keeping more than one in a tank? Do they school(or shoal or whatever)

I have two. Started out with three. They stay on opposite sides of the tank.

Thanks for the info, was the third killed by the Anthias or did it die from other causes?

I had 1 in my tank that was doing really well by itself but then I introduced a new fish that must have had a disease and pretty much wiped out my tank.

I have only 1. I think it's generally suggested to keep only one in a tank. There is a guy here who has 4 successfully though.

This is my guy

mine has been great, i had CBB and the sunburst in the same acclimation tank and the copperbanded ate mysis before the sunburst did. i did have to chop up his frozen food into little bits then he started eating any frozen i put in the tank. he holds his own in my DT now and still only eats frozen but will eat ANYthing frozen.

When you say pair do you mean they swim together or do they stay on opposite sides of the tank as Tyler Durden said. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to get more than one and so far it doesn't look like it.

They don't swim together most of the time. There are better choices of Anthias if you want them to swim as a group.
