New to MH and need lighting recomendations for 60 cube 24 x 24 x 24...
I have a 400 watt pendant. Not a good reflector. Would i get same good light output out of a 250 or 400 watt with a decent reflector. I want it to house SPS and lps. It has to be a pendant. It has to have more of a focused light spread. I keep it hanging above tank about 16 inches and i sit about 8 feet away.
I want a fixture that will not allow the bulb to be visible out the sides. My current fixture does not cover enough of the bulb so it is always in view out of the corner of the eye. I have a budget of about $300 + or - a little. Im thinking either radium or phoenix 14k. If i go 14k would the use of 2 powerbrites help offset the lack of blue? Thank you!!!!!!!!!! |

Didn't you ask this before?
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1694711 if you do not want SE partly sticking out like the lumabright, hhen go double ended. I think lumenmax SE does not stick out, but the fixture is rectanglular. |

14k phoenix does NOT need help with the blue. Its bluer than many 20k bulbs.
