Diatoms after 2weeks, is this normal?

This is the first time ive set up a tank not using live rock so im just curious. its a 65g with 20l sump. I used about 45# dead rock and seeded it with about 2# live sand from my 30g. My ammonia spiked on fri and is on its way down now just wanting to know if the diatoms this early are normal.
