shallow tank for sps question?

I plan to set a new tank for my sps.

Is 60x24x11 too shallow? ... already have the tank.

... else I can build a 48x30x18 from an existing 48x18x30.

I will use 6 or 8 (48") t5ho for both tanks. Wich one you'll choose and why ?
