Need advice on Flow

Hey all !

Quick question, I have a AP24 and am thinking about getting this for better flow .

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I have used this brand before and they work great BTW .

It's 800 GPH . I am planning on putting it on the back of the aquarium facing toward the front viewing glass , that way the aquarium glass will disperse flow to the right and left sides of the tank . The flow in the tank right now is almost nil thanks to the weak stock return pump .

I only keep soft corals and LPS (eventually)

Trying to rid the tank of the microalgae blooms , (Red and green) Flow helped alot in my 110 gallon setup , so I figured I would try it on my little 24 gallon .

Any advice will be much appreciated .

it looks like a koralia to me tbh, if so then the k3 and k4 are very resonable pumps, imo, just me, i dont rate the k1s and 2s

Yeah but how about the question ? Do you think it will be too much for my little 24 gallon Aquapod ? I am ordering it friday unless I get a bunch of "thats way too much flow ! "

First, the pump on eb is a generic. For $22 it could last a week. Not usre if the warranty is real and koralia3 would be only $45 or so.

I have two koralia3 in my 75, and it is prob more than enough.
I will need to buy new soon, so I may go with two k2's and than add a nano or a third #2

Having two will break the surface more, and add more oceanlike flow.

I feel like it would be too much but I have read people doing just fine with what I considered to be super high. I tend to be on the conservative side I guess.

For a smalll tank, the Powersweep pumps are often overlooked. They are reliable pumps, with regular maint, and provide oscilation(sp) I had one in a 54 bowfront for a few years till I upgraded tanks.

All the reviews on the powersweep pump were bad. Plus I like the design of the Koralia style pumps. Like I said I have used the bigger generic brand before and it worked great. 800 GPH is alot , but I wonder if it is overrated. It would be perfect at 400 gph , I know that would be fine .
