Temp Adjustment on pH

The Apex is defaulted to not adjust pH for Temp. Why would one not want to have this enabled?

If you are maintaining normal tank temps with a 4-5 degree range, does the pH really need to be compensated?

even if it is in normal range - what does it hurt to always leave compensation on? what would be the need to diable it?

the only thing i can think of is it may be a way to isolate the effects of a faulty temp probe. at least if the temp probe give bad reading it wont mess with the pH values as well.
