When you say pair, I assume you just mean two of them. I was under the impression that reproductive pair bonds didn't develop until at least late juvenile stage. Am I completely maledcuated?

pair, probably not mated since they are so young.

how much they run you?

While there aren't any hard and fast rules, there are some generally accepted terms.

Pair === two clowns
Bonded pair === two clowns that have been together for "a while" but haven't spawned.
Mated pair === two clowns that regularly spawn.

"A while", in my eyes would be anything after 6 months or so.

That's a nice looking pair, especially for $100!

that is CORRECT! Good Eye these are a pair of Doni's Grade B picassos. purchased from her website donisreef.com

Would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for picassos. i was 100% satisfied doing business with her. very helpful and accomodating. and great quality fish!

IMO i would rather do business with a fellow hobbyist instead of a retailer (such as ORA).

I only knew, because 1) ORA doesn't sell Picasso's that cheap. 2) They don't look quite as good as Doni's. 3) You gave it away with the price.

the last one is a top down shot while they were still in acclimation, just to show the patterns.

I can say that Doni's clowns are great. I have two grade "A" Picasso's and they have been doing great. I will say don't put them in a tank where there are very many fish or with fish that are agressive. We put them in our 75 gallon reef tank and they immediately hid under the same rock that our pistol shrimp and orange-spotted goby lived. They didn't come out for quite a while so we tore apart the tank to rescue them and had to move them to our 40 breeder that had a pair of ocellaris in it and move the ocellaris to the 75. They are now happily hosting in a bubble tip anemone and only come out of it a few inches at most to eat.
