Exclamation slow drip

i just replaced the plumbing from my return line. i had been using flexi hose and wanted to upgrade to pvc. well what a pain that was. i finished and let it sit a while before plugging my pump in and it all seemed fine. well i just came home after about two hours and it has a slow leak from one of the couplings. so i put some puddy around it and it still has a slow leak. just a slow drip. ive heard that the salt can seal any small leaks in plumbing, anyone else hear that. if thats not the case any suggestions. its in a cramped part under the tank thats hard to get to and redoing it is not really an option

if it is an option could you turn the water off for an hour or 2? you need to give it a chance to dry out and the 2 part epoxy/putty stuff (green and grey that you kneed together) would seal that up NO problem.

its in a cramped part under the tank that's hard to get to and redoing it is not really an option If it's a slow drip into the sump then salt creep will likely solve the problem for you and I would just keep and eye on it. If it's dripping somewhere else then you need to fix it regardless of how difficult it is. Think water damaged stand and/or house. It doesn't take much water to comprimise the structural integrity of the stand.

This is scary. I alway use lots of primer, cement and let sit for 1 hour but applying pressure. I rarely have leaks this way.
