Question Polyfiber versus Polyfilter

Ok, so at the LFS I work at, we have two things that, IMO look the same. One is called Polyfiber (sheet like) and One is called Polyfilter (looks like it would go on the end of a overflow drain, sort of like a filter sock).

I've never had to use any of them so I'm not sure.

What exactly is the difference between the two?

Thanks In Advance

im pretty sure polyfilter is coated with something to help it remove organics and metals from the water. polyfiber is just for machanical filter for debris

Yes, Polyfilter is an adsorbant material and will remove chemicals. Polyfiber is just mechanical filtration.

Yep, polyfilter can remove many contaminates from the water and will change color depending on what is being removed.

Polyfiber can be used as a basic mechanical filter or make pillows out of.
