how long? (live rock question)
Say I took out a 10lb piece of live rock from my DT and put it in a bucket of RO water, how long do you think it would take for everything on and in it to die?

why not
I didn't really want to get into a big discussion on why, just need to get rid way too many pests. I don't want to bleach my tank and I don't have the room to let 100lbs of rock dry out or cook. So, anyone know if all RO would do the trick?

Soak it in water with a salinity of 1.035 or higher, this will force out all critters pods, worms. crabs... while not killing the bacteria. Doesn't affect nonmotiles such as aiptasia though.

Should work on the worms, never had hydroids so I don't know. Velvet nudibranches(the cool black and blue ones) will destroy a flatworm problem. I'd dip and get the nudibranch simply because if a single flatworm survives the dip your right back where you started.
