air for a 29 gal

do i need a air sone in my Fish and live rock tank. i have just started up my tanks 2 days and every thing is going good i just got 3 dansels and i am just wandering if need a air stone i have a penn plax 700 and its moving 185gph.

You don't NEED one, but it might help with the o2 levels in the water. Not really a necessity though. Not a lot of that going on anymore I don't think. I used to use airstones in my freshwater tanks back in the 80's because I thought it looked cool.

Air Stones are good for making salt creep/spray. Do you have a skimmer? If not a PH to keep the surface adgitated will be good.

Are you adding fish after only two days? Has your tank cycled?

i added 3 dansels in the tank i was told to. is that ok i dont know how long to what. how long is the cykaling proses.

Have you read the sticky at the top of this forum, "New-first time..."? You really should start reading, and then come back and ask questions. It really is not recommended to add fish before your tank has cycled, and there is no way to answer your question about how long it takes the tank to cycle, because it depends upon the conditions in your particular tank.
