Same MH bulbs but burn different colors...

I bought 2 new 250w MH 10k bulbs running on icecap ballast and they burn 2 completly different colors. One is like a bright yellowish and the other one is a not so bright whit color no yellow in it at all. The bulbs are SPS brand, forgot the actual name. Any reasons why this is happening?

Single ended or double ended? Also make sure both have the same rating engraved on the bulb. I mean if they are 10k bulbs it should be stamped on the bulb. If you accidently have two different bulbs as in one 12k and one 20k the colrs will look different. Also I am guessing if they are Single ended bulbs you may have them oriented incorrectly. On SE bulbs there is a little nipple loking thing inside the bulb that needs to be on top once screwed in.

I have seen the same thing with SPS bulbs at the LFS. Some burn yellow and some are purple/pink. I would send them back and try to get a refund

Ya it looks horrible right now. The corals seem to like it but not me. And yes they both have 10k engraved on the bulb so its for sure 10k. I have 20ks too and they burn the same color together. Weird stuff. O ya there single ended mogul based. its been like 4 months since I had them but right when I used them it was all messed up.
