New Setup
Hi guys,
I am finally getting back into the world of marine after about 4 years out of the game. Here is the setup i have come up with. Please offer your 2 cents worth Main - 6x2x2 Lighting - 3 x 250 watt Halide Pendants Skimmer - Reef Octopus NW200 Return - Reef Octopus Blaster 5000 Sump - 4 ft that consist of skimmer chamber onto return chamber. Return will then be Tee'd off to fuge on right hand side of sump which then flows back across the DSB and then back to return chamber again. My reasoning is that the flow to the fuge can be regulated. Water Movement Two Tunze 6101's Overflow One hole in the top corner of each side. Prefer this over the weir Return Flow Two thoughts. First being DIY overhang in the centre of the tank. Second being a hole drilled smack bang in the centre of the back of the glass. Aquascaping Large Bommie on each side allowing for plenty of swimming room in the middle Fish List Powder Blue Tang Blue Tang Clowns Majestic Angel Emperor Angel School of Chromis and maybe a few additions later on. Any suggestions? [b]Coral[b/] Full This list is obviously not going to happen overnight but I am planning the tank for what I want in the future I kept a 4 foot setup for about 2-3 years before my chiller pump blew off and cooked everything. So I got the sh*ts with it and pulled it down. I would love everyones opinion on what I have listed above but mainly my sump idea, return flow idea, return pump idea and fish list. I have bought the Skimmer, and lights and very soon to buy the Tunze's Once I have a few things to take photos off and everything is finalised I will start a Journal Thanks in advance Brendan |

IMO the skimmer is a little lite for that tank but are you going to have corals?... if so i wouldnt recomend the angels on your list... the skimmer may be enough but i like to overkill my skimmers... you might check into the octo extreme skimmers or one with the new bubble blaster pump... i run an octo extreme 200 on a 90 gallon with good results

I agree that those angelfish are going to eat a fairly wide range of corals. I think they'd also get rather large for that tank.

I agree I would get a bigger skimmer and get rid of the angles, they will tear a reef up.
