Floor & tank weight with pictures. Help?
ANother can I do this thread
Anyone take a peak and shoot me some ideas please? The first shot is where my 75 sits now, on a load bearing wall. No issues in 5 years. The second shot is where a longer tank would sit, running across (not parellel) with the beams. House is under 10 years old. I either want to put a 120 on the 75 spot or do away with the 75 and move to opposing wall (not load bearing) a 180-220g. WHich would be safer, etc? As you can see, this sits right above our finished basement...right above our furnace room. So, getting supports in there, etc would be a bear. Thanks for any tips.

Not sure if we are looking at the ceiling or walls, but if that is the ceiling are those 2x6, or 2x8 if so in either case I would be thinking of some bracing. If I'm wrong and they are atleast 2x10 I wouldn't worry about it.

Ceiling pics of where it would be sitting on top of.
The first pic is the outside/load bearing wall of the house. Smaller supports going to the longer parellel supports which are doubled. Foundation in this basement is wood, not concrete.
