Vortech MP40W on 3/4" glass?
Will it work? I see everyone selling theirs and obviously these pumps have and have had issues of all sorts. That is one thing making me wary.
But is it moot given I have 3/4" glass?

I have four Vortechs on my 220 with 3/4" glass and love them. I also have two on my frag tank. No real issues to speak of.

I too was extremely worried about my starphire $$$ tank when I added a 40w onto it and once it was making a wave I gt really worried. I think you will be fine as long as its a well built tank.

Wasn't worried about tank integrity. I ran a Wavebox for 2+ yrs on an Oceanic. No issues. This tank will be better.
Vortech waves don't match the Wavebox anyway. I'd be using reef crest random I think.

I have 4 on 19mm glass, a bit thicker than .75" i believe. I did have one come lose and start wobbling, but overall they stay fine once you get them properly lined up.

My dad has 2 on 3/4" acrylic. Just make sure you take the spacer out and but still keep the rubber footing.
