something ate my Kenya tree!
I guess it was either a crab or a snail. I noticed a crab next to it a day or so ago and then it shrunk up and today there is just the base left!
Do crabs do this? How can I prevent in the future? it was only a small one branch frag Thanks Russell |

What kind of crab was it? Are you sure it didn't just melt and float away? I have never seen a crab munch on mine but I have melted a couple doing something stupid like pouring too much lime water on them. The ones I killed would just shrivel and disappear in no time.

it more than likely melted away, have you checked your water parameters yet?

water parameters are all good - other corals are doing well. sg 1.026, nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, phosphate all 0
it may ave been stress. It was fine but then shrunk up and now is gone except the base can it regrow or should it be removed? |
