HOB filter in fuge?

I was wondering if there would be any downside to running a biowheel HOB filter in my fuge just as some extra filtration. I replaced the filters with some very fine filters and within a week they were NASTY!!! I cleaned them and put them back in but got to wondering if there was any reason not to do this?? It seems like it couldn't hurt anything as long as I kept the filters clean to keep from making a nitrate factory. Give me some advice!!

The hang on back can be used as extra filtration but leave off the bio wheel. They are OK for FW but will build up Nitrates in a reef tank.

What other filtration are you using?

If your not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Current Tank Info: 120g, 8g
