red slime?

I have what I believe is red slime algae all over my sand and rocks and it also grows on the glass. The tank is only 1 3/4 months old so it just finished the diatoms and then quickly switched to this red algae recently. Anyway is it part of the cycle or is something wrong? Nitrates alk and cal are fine and I run RO/DI with 0 TDS water and also phosban for the phos., and silicate so I can't imagine why I have this red slime?

O and also, should I clean this algae off the rocks and sand or will it dissipate when its cycled like diatoms do?

My tank is about 2 months as well and I just recently started getting this same algae everything. My tangs nip at it but it seems to be growing rapidly.

Make sure your sources for RO read to 0 TDS
-add more flow
-cut down light hours
-do not stir/siphon as much as you can
-last resort, use that slime remover powder

I've been having this for problem for about a month now.
my tank is about a year and 2 months. READ ABOUT IT HERE
