Green Slime
I have some sort of green slime algae/bacteria growing in my tank.it is almost identical to cyano, but a very neon green.it grows on power heads, rocks, sand and almost anything in the tank.you can pull it off in sheets just like cyano.my tank is an sps dominate 92 gallon oceanic corner tank.i have also started to have dino's.i have always used api test kits and all params stay in check.last night i took a water sample to a friends house and he did tests with his kits.they matched my api results pretty close.i have had the tank set up for a year and a couple of months.it has close to 200lbs of live rock and a shallow sand bed.the params are as follows
nitrate lamote kit .25 phosphate d and d .008 alk elos 10 calcium elos 375 ph api and acjr 8.3 amonia 0 nitrite 0 mag elos 1200 if anybody has ever seen or heard of this i would love to know what it is and a possible solution.if i could at least find out what it is i could research solutions myself.i will try to add pics when the lights come on. thanks in advance |
