Air flow meter for protein skimmer

Does anyone know of a Air flow meter that I can hook to a skimmer and check the amount of air draw? I want to know how much effect my mods actually create. Thx

Dwyer meters are typically used. Models RMA 21, 22, (or 23?) I believe.

You can buy them direct from Dwyer Instruments, or Euro-Reef sells the 21, and 22 models here:

Be sure to choose the model that works with your max air draw. Smaller skimmer pumps (<600lph air draw) will probably work best with the 21, while larger skimmers the 22.

Thx to you both. Guess I'll get both.

Oh, and do not forget the $3 adapter fitting (model A-340) for your skimmer air intake tube:

I would recommend staying away from Dwyer's RMA meters, look at something in the RMB or RMC line, they are bigger, and they have larger fittings. The small RMA meters are too restrictive on the air flow based on small fitting, you will not get a true reading on your air.

This is good advice no doubt. I think several manufacturers (Euro-Reef, H&S (Fin's Reef), and i-Tech) are still using the RMA models, FWIW.
