I found a bargain on filter socks
Hello - I found a good bargain on filter socks that I wanted to share. I now can *ALMOST* consider them disposable.
http://www.filterbag.com/cart.php?m=...rch=PONG100P4P $2.46 Qty of 25 and 100 micron. It was my first order (a buddy and I ordered 50 and split the shipping). Received the socks and they seem to be nice quality. Anyway, just wanted to pass on what I think is a good deal! |

Those are actually very nice and durable filter bags, in fact, I own similar ones. The only reason they are cheap is because you have to buy them in bulk. I have no idea why you would even want to consider them disposable, I have to clean mine out every 2-3 days. Even if they were .50 I am not sure I would dispose of them, that would be like $60 a year in filter bags!
They hold up fine in the machine or soaked in a bleach solution. |

BRS has filter socks on their website now too... Might be twice as much though.

Shipping and handling was $11.32 for the 50 socks.
I wash my socks, really ![]() There is that minimum quantity of 25, however, I take the socks out, throw them in a bucket and then do a big wash with many socks. It allows me to stretch out the time between claiming the washing machine. Besides, if the wife finds out I know how to use the washing machine I'm toast!!! |

Good deal.. Considering 25 of the 200 micron from BRS will run me about $120 plus shipping.
