I broke down the whole tank late friday night to move it to a new stand and plumb in a sump. Not sure on the hows or why but my ammonia is up past .5 right now and every lps coral i own is dead. 30+heads of candy canes, two small brain coral frags and a 2"*3" piece of blue green favia are all toast

Only thing i can think is the sand bed got way to disturbed, even still though im schocked my rock couldnt handle the spike. Im still registering 0 on the nitrates.

EDIT: okay something is really off, my nitrites are still reading 0

I am thinking it is the sand issues as well. I have heard many people have issues. Not necessarily with ammonia, but rather nitrate, but I can still see it as a possibility.

it sucks my lil yellowtail damsel is on his way out right now. Depressing as hell. Maybe he'll pull thru though. My clown appears to be doing good somehow. He was the only one to survive the flooding/power outtage a few months back so little guy is tough.

I do not get why im seeing 0 nitrites though.
