Help! Puffer Stung by Lionfish? Dying?
Just fed my lion and puffer and the lionfish had a big chunk of food hanging out his mouth and the puffer went to it they kind went rounds for a second and now the puffer is floating on the top....intially after the possible sting he kinda swam around in a daze running into stuff kind yellow glare in his eyes....he was totally fine till this happened...did the lion sting him or what. I've had the two to gether for a year together and never had any issues till tonight. whats everyone thoughts and is there anything I can do at this point?

From what I've read it's not a good idea to put a puffer and a lionfish together. There was a case where a fish store had a 600 gallon tank with only a puffer a lionfish and an eel. The pufferfish still tore the lions fins. Now I'm not saying you haven't done this or that or followed this or that, I'm sure you have more experience than me by far cause I jested a few weeks ago had have clownfish in mine. I'm only saying.
Planning on getting a Common Lionfish in the future ![]() |
