Frist tank cycle use cured or uncured liverock may venders are telling me uncured

uncured will make the cycle longer , cured rock will help it quicker,IMO but if your buying the cured rock from a store and there water params at the store are horrible it might not make mutch differance

I used a mix of cured and uncured - my thought on the uncured is that it had enough decomposing junk on it that I didn't need to use a dead cocktail shrimp to cycle. It seemed to take a while to cycle, but it did have a big ammonia peak followed by the nitrite peak.

if i,m not mistakecon thats what we are looking for so we don,t get alot of little cycles an think the tank is ready
