Can Titanium Heater be used without Controller?

I have a Titanium Heater with AquaMedic Controller, and the controller is not working.

Will the heater work if plugged in without the controller? I guess it will just stay on full blast.

Since my system is about 400 gal with a large sump in a cold basement, it requires several heaters. One heater running uncontrolled would never overheat the system.

I understand why you would feel this way, but my question is if the heater will function without the controller.

The 180 gal sump currently has 3 heaters going and my temperature has dropped to 70 degrees. Not likely one heater will overheat the system if the others turn off when the temp gets to 79, but I will monitor it closely to see that temp only raises a few degrees per day.

Yes it will function without the controller. The controller is just an on/off switch. Like you suspect though it will run 24/7.

Thanks.
It ran nearly 24/7 with the controller anyway.
