Looking for Suggestions on Corals

I am guessing my signature offers the gory details, so I will just say that I plan to add the following fish over the next couple monthss- (2) firefish, (1) midas blenny, (2) ocellaris clowns, and that will be it.

With that in mind, any suggestions for soft corals to add to this barren tank? Specifics are preferred. I expect some mushrooms, zoas, palys, leathers, and at least one faviid (they are just TOO cool!). Doubt my tank will handle SPS, so let's ignore them, please.

PS - Here's the one month old tank today! Obviously, I need to learn that "depth of field" thing on my camera - sorry.

I would recommend rics (oranges, blues, greens); zoa's (bam bams, AOG, tub blues, eagle eyes); acans (reds, muti color, even rainbows); shrooms (superman, reds, blues); yumas; and open brains (red, green, multi color) but i would stay away from leathers as in time those get big and really use up space plus rock. Hope that helps, Wiz

torch, hammer, frogspawn maybe? usually are know for being relatively east lps. and i personally like leathers. maybe a toad stool or what is commonly sold as "colt coral" (big branching tree like leather coral.) run carbon though. if you want something to really take up space you could get a Green star polyp (gsp) or xenia. spread like crazy.

Thanks for the ideas. I do like all the ideas you've given. Any thoughts on a "max number" for my tank?

max number of fish or corals? If you add all those fish you mentioned you will be pushing it. Corals and other invertebrates are much more efficiant when it comes to processing food and expelling waste. So you can add alot of those. Sometimes you have to be concerned with corals fighting for turf and chemical warfare so placement is important.

i really dont think his fish list is pushing it. hes not really putting any messy eaters in and theyr all smaller fish....

edit
but i just looked at your pic and you already have 3 chromis in there. might be pushing it if you leave them in

If it matters, I have about 60# combined LR and LS. I definitely am more interested in the corals than the fish - but I gotta keep my family interested too. But, I don't want to do ANYTHING that will make the environment uncomfortable for the coral. Maybe I will hold off on the firefish.
