How do you treat during QT process?
I'm ready to start adding new fish to my tank. Do you quarantine your fish with copper, hypo, observation or other? I've seen polls on the time period but I would love to see some data on this.

I put my fish through a freshwater dip with Formalin 3 before they go into the quarantine tank but no treatment, just observation during quarantine unless necessary.

I acclimate to the QT, a 3 minute fresh water dip before introducing the fish to the QT. The fresh water is temp and pH adjusted. I then treat for 10 days with PraziPro and follow up with Hypo Salinity for the remainder of the 6 week QT period for careful observation.

This data matches most of the QT processes I've been reading about. In summary; start off with 4-6 week observation and treat if necessary.

I just put my fish straight into the QT tank that I fill with water from my display. No hypo, no treatment that will stress out the fish even more than they already are. I observe them and will treat if necessary. I've been lucky that I have not had to treat for any type of disease to date.
