Too much Light/flow?

Hi everybody,
I have a 20g tank and right now i have 2 MH lights on it, on is 10k and the other is 14k and their both 150w. Is this too much?
Now for the flow. I have a Koralia 1 and a small aquaclear 200, but i'm noticing that some of my corals don't move, will adding my koralia nano be too much???

Thanks
SeaSerpant

Heck ya that's a lot of light (not saying its a bad thing)
I don't understand how you would keep the temperature down on that tank, you might have problems this summer. Do you have a sump or chiller? How far off the tank are the lights?

With flow and lighting, each setup is unique. If it's working for you than its enough flow, or enough light. Try adding and removing flow or light, and note the results and overall appearance of corals in the system. Just work slowly, and don't make drastic changes right away. Trial and error will usually answer a lot of these questions.

I would say your overdoing it on the lights. Are these MH's pendants or a fixture? As far as the flow goes, you really can never have to much and I would say you could probably use at least 2 K1 or 2's. A nano IMO is to small and have 2 powerheads creates a more random flow pattern.

It does sound like alot of light

Could the light be a bad thing? The corals have seemed to open up alot more!
I don't have a sump or a chiller but i live in canada! And it rarely gets above 30 in the summer and it's in the basement.
I do have a lid on the tank which could be absorbing some of the heat which keeps it from overheating! But i'll keep an eye on the temp.

The lights are a fixture and i can move them up higher on the tank if needed! I do have a hob filter with only filterfloss and carbon and that helps create some nice flow with the bigger one!

The tank is 24"x12"x16".

I moved around my big powerhead and now everything seems to be doing fine!

Thanks
