The end of Q-tip (cotton Parts) like growths on my rocks what is it
And how do i get rid of the if the are not good for my tank, they look like the tip of a q-tip and they have a hole in the center of them, i think something is growing in them and using them for shelter. Please all the advice i can get is very very much appreciated. Thanks All......

Sponges and nothing to worry about..they will come and go and are actually a sign of a healthy tank..hth..

Does it look like this?-
if so this is a completely harmless and very common sponge. If this is growing in your tank you are doing something right! As for what may be living inside it- could be some pods perhaps.

They're called Scypha or pineapple sponges if you want to read up on them further.
